Service and Integrity Before, During and After

It can be challenging enough to buy a used car even from a local dealer, but to take the leap of faith to buy one online from an out of state dealer requires a whole other level of trust and confidence. I recently went through such a process with Pennant Motors in Fairview, PA--800 miles away from where I am living in South Carolina. I found the car via one of Pennant's eBay listings and after a few rounds of negotiations we agreed on a price. Within minutes, I received a phone call from the general manager, Rachael Miller--at the end of the day on a Friday. She was extremely pleasant and helpful and with every step and follow-up in the process, she was both patient and responsive, and made me feel as if my deal with her company was a priority. The car, a really nice 2004 BMW X5, needed a few issues resolved--most of which Rachael and her service team worked to remedy before giving me the green light to fly on up to pick-up the car. I was met at the airport and shuttled back to the dealership and was warmly greeted upon my arrival. I inspected the car and it looked as advertised (sometimes you never know). While there were a few remaining issues with the car, Rachael and her ownership team, were responsible and reasonable as we came up with a mutually agreeable plan to take care of everything. It felt very trusting and collaborative, which is what I want the experience to be when doing business. So, when I drove the car back to S. Carolina I brought it to a BMW specialist who completed all the agreed upon work (fixed a persistent oil leak, got the sunroof operational, replaced the door lock, etc). When I shared the bill with Rachael over the phone, she did not object to any of the work done or cost and within a day I had a check to cover their share of the repair bill. Pretty impressive--especially given that with an 800-mile buffer the folks at Pennant could have distanced themselves and not returned calls or emails--but they demonstrated tremendous integrity and class and truly proved that they were invested in having a satisfied customer. I am very much satisfied and am already asking if they can help find a suitable car for my son to drive once he gets his driver's license in a few months. That is about as strong an endorsement as I can give...

Excellent sales service

Excellent service in their sales. I basically bought the car online. Rachel was up front and detailed about the car I was looking at. She explained everything about the car and was very charismatic about the sale. When I arrived the car was in the exact condition as she detailed over the phone. We drove 450 miles to pick up the as we trusted her opinions.

Spectacular Service

Rachael was spectacular! I purchased a 2006 volvo xc90 recently. I must say from the initial contact to the conclusion of the transaction, the staff and particularly Rachael was excellent! The car was fairly represented, the prep work on the car was also excellent. Honestly, it is a used car with 129K + miles, but I had looked at several others and this one was genuinely the best. The price was more than fair. There were two issues and Rachael did not quibble, she said that they would fix them at their expense. I am most satisfied and highly recommend Pennant motors and their staff as honest, reputable and very fair. Post sale contact has also been excellent with Rachael conscientiously responding to every inquiry.

Great shop!

Great service, ended up taking a few days longer that it should have, but it was the Ford/Volvo dealers fault. The dealer couldn't send the right cam seals 2 times! You would thing the Volvo dealer would know how to send the right part but nope, 2 times they sent the wrong thing. Everyone at Pennant was extremely nice and easy to work with. They ended up giving me a huge discount for the inconvenience, definitely made me happy and will go to them for any future repairs.
